I am Romain Leveque, french guy based in Beijing since 2017. Working for years in the graphic industry, I've always been captivated by the image. Photography represented an obvious continuity of my activity. I never learned much about it, I started to play with a very basic compact digital camera and shoot more and more.

I am always eager to explore my surroundings, contemplate the daily life & people. Anonyms & everyday situations catch all my attemtion. Taking pictures gave me an additionnal motive to go further, travel, trespass barriers.

China has been a turn for me in terms of inspiration. When i got here, my eyes were moving everywhere. The rocket speed development of the country gave birth to a fascinating dystopian urban landscape mixing the old world with the new, evolving constantly. I try to memorise it through my camera.
